After 17 seasons of playing professional baseball most people recognize Kenny Lofton as one of Major League Baseball’s premier center fielders and a Cleveland Indians Hall of Fame inductee.

Kenny has retired from the diamond and is making his mark on the silver screen. He is co-founder of the post-production and production company, FilmPool. In his producing debut he won the Audience Award at the 2016 American Black Film Festival for his film “The Fix”. He has two more feature films to be released in 2017, “Chokehold” and “My First Miracle”. He is currently producing the comedy series, “Lawd Have Mercy”.

BRENTON EARLEY – President/Producer

Brenton has been involved in front of and behind the camera for over 25 years. He has had guest starring roles in both film and television. And has appeared in over 50 national commercials.

He was Director of Post Services for 18 years at New Wave Entertainment as liaison to distribution outlets. His producing credits at FilmPool include “Chokehold”, “My First Miracle” and the 2016 American Black Film Festival Audience Award Winner “The Fix. He recently produced the film “Rottentail” based on a graphic novel published by Source Point Press. He has also produced and directed short form projects for NBC, MSN, NBA, Murad Skin Cream and Interscope Records. ” He is currently developing and producing the comedy series “Lawd Have Mercy”.

CRAIG HALL – Producer/Line Producer

Craig Hall is an award winning Writer, Producer & Director who has navigated the independent film world for over 15 years. Craig wrote the screenplay N14006 for Dick Clark Productions and has been brought in to polish many scripts. He developed a comedy series Mogul for MTV Networks and was a development Manager and partner for 4 years with Trace Entertainment. There he produced the feature film Bad Guys (winner audience award for best feature at the 2008 Beverly Hills Film Festival as well as best Producer). He also produced Shut Up and Shoot, Modern Men & Fathers of the Sport while there.  He also produced the Independent feature Lost Dream & The Custom Mary for Laura Ziskin Productions.

He also produced the critically acclaimed feature Dreamers for Dark Lantern Pictures and Anvil/New Line. Craig brings not only a true filmmakers background but a strong business mind to any project.

RUDY LUNA – In House Producer/Director/Writer

After winning several screenwriting competitions, and having them optioned and produced, Rudy quickly delved into directing and producing himself. His debut film entitled “Primemates”, starred Leo Rossi (Analyze This) and Ethan Phillips (Star Trek, The Island) and it quickly became a festival hit garnering several awards. He worked closely with Frank Yablans (former president of Paramount Pictures) of Promenade Pictures to adapt a book into a screenplay. He’s also worked extensively with Howard Meltzer of Informant Media (Crazy Heart, Erased, Kidnapping of Freddy Hieneken) to develop and produce several projects. Stolen Education, his current documentary, is being featured in several film festivals and screening throughout the University circuit across the United States. His collaborations with FilmPooL is long standing and include several development projects for both TV and Film.

ESS – Music Producer, Composer & Songwriter

All the way from Toronto, Canada, Ess, the half-deaf rapper & Hip Hop’s Beethoven, released his sophomore effort, “The Internship EP” (available on iTunes), quit his job as an Audio Engineer working for Universal Music (one of the biggest record labels in the country), headlined his own concert, then bought a one-way ticket and boarded a plane to LA. All in the same week. Go big or go home! Now, at this stage of the game, Ess has already worked with some of the biggest names in Entertainment including Interscope, Def Jam, Island Records, Universal Music, EMI Music, Infinity, Multi-Platinum Songwriters & Producers, and the list goes on. PHIL THOMPSON – Composer & Music Supervisor

Phil Thompson is an internationally acclaimed pianist as well as a highly sought after soundtrack composer and music supervisor who brings his extensive resume to FilmPool. His most recent album, “Love Themes from the Silver Screen” is a collection of original arrangements of Phil’s favorite soundtrack pieces and is currently charting on iTunes in the “Top 20” for Love Theme albums. As a composer, Phil has scored dozens of projects including the PBS documentary “Footsteps: A Journey in Faith”, 23 episodes for the NBC television series “Blueprint for Green”, the acclaimed tribute song “Final Ride Home” for the 35W Bridge Collapse, (with over 10,000 downloads and all proceeds going to the Minnesota Red Cross), and most recently the motion picture “Laughing to the Bank” (written and directed by Brian Hooks of Lucky Strike, Fools Gold, etc.) which incorporated Phil’s trademark piano style as well as a number of pop, hip-hop, and parody tracks (Dos Equis, “To Catch a Predator”, etc.). As a music supervisor, Phil is able to utilize his personal network of independent songwriters and emerging artists from around the globe. When not in the studio, Phil can be seen touring the globe at venues including Mandalay Bay and Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, the Royal Imperial Palace in Vienna, and the MGM Grand in Macau just to name a few.
