After 17 seasons of playing Major League Baseball (2007 with the Cleveland Indians), most people recognize Kenny Lofton as one of the premier centerfielders in baseball. He was recently inducted into the Cleveland Indians Hall of Fame. Having always excelled in sports, Kenny received a basketball scholarship to the University of Arizona. Academically, he pursued his long-time interest in the film and television industry. Garnering attention for his abilities on the baseball field, Kenny has spent a great deal of time in front of the camera. In addition to filming numerous interviews and commercials, he has also made several guest appearances on a variety of television shows, including: “The Wayans Brothers”, “The George Lopez Show”, etc. Kenny Lofton is a co-founder of FilmPool, and enjoys being behind the scenes for a change. He is involved in the day-to-day operations of FilmPool, and has co-produced two television shows: “The Audition” and “Burnin”. Currently, Kenny can be seen at Fox Sports West/Prime Ticket as TV analyst for the Los Angeles Dodgers on the pre- and post-game show: “Dodgers Live”.


Brenton has been involved in front of the camera as well as behind the camera going on 20 years. He holds his SAG/AFTRA union card. He has had guest appearances on TV as well as appeared in over 50 national commercials as an actor. He was Director of Post Services for 13 years at New Wave Entertainment where he worked closely with distributors. He has developed several television shows for FilmPool. Currently Brenton acts in and is a producer for the upcoming TV show “The Audition”. He directed the pilot episode of “Burnin”, as well as the music videos “If You Love Me” by Kayla Brianna, and “In da Club” by Poor Marcus. Brenton has a great eye for developing creative and innovative projects.

CRAIG HALL – Writer, Producer & Director

Craig is an award winning Writer, Producer & Director who has navigated the independent film world for over 15 years. Craig sold his first screenplay 13 years ago N14006 to Dick Clark Productions and has been brought in to polish many scripts over the years. He developed a comedy series Mogul for MTV Networks in 2003. He was a development Manager and partner for 4 years with Trace Entertainment where he brought to production and produced the feature film Bad Guys (which won the audience award for best feature at the 2008 Beverly Hills Film Festival as well as best Producer). He also Produced the titles Shut Up and Shoot, Modern Men & Fathers of the Sport while at Trace. Shortly after Trace he produced the Independent feature Lost Dream & The Custom Mary a Sundance hopeful with Laura Ziskin Productions. Prior to that, Craig was with Film Garden developing programming for TLC, (A Wedding Story, and Dream Living). He took both shows on the road across country and back. He also directed and edited on both shows as well as other Film Garden projects while there. Upon leaving Film Garden he produced the critically acclaimed feature Dreamers for Dark Lantern Pictures distributed by Anvil/New Line. Before joining Film Garden, however, he spent 2 years at PROPAGANDA. Craig produced or was an integral part of producing numerous music videos. Just before his stint with Propaganda he spent 6 years with Universal Studios for the Marketing department. In the last year Craig has been developing a distribution company focusing on independent cinema as well as a software design company. Craig brings not only a true film makers background but a strong business mind to any project.

RUDY LUNA – In House Producer/Director/Writer

After winning several screenwriting competitions, and having them optioned and produced, Rudy quickly delved into directing and producing himself. His debut film entitled “Primemates”, starred Leo Rossi (Analyze This) and Ethan Phillips (Star Trek, The Island) and it quickly became a festival hit garnering several awards. He worked closely with Frank Yablans (former president of Paramount Pictures) of Promenade Pictures to adapt a book into a screenplay. He’s also worked extensively with Howard Meltzer of Informant Media (Crazy Heart, Erased, Kidnapping of Freddy Hieneken) to develop and produce several projects. Stolen Education, his current documentary, is being featured in several film festivals and screening throughout the University circuit across the United States. His collaborations with FilmPooL is long standing and include several development projects for both TV and Film.


Austin Anderson, an editor with the FilmPool team, has produced and edited seven feature films, two of which he wrote and directed. After surviving both brain and heart surgery, California native and lifelong fiction writer, Austin attended Academy of Art University in San Francisco. There, he honed his writing skills, in addition to learning to produce, direct, DP, and edit.
In 2005, Austin co-founded Continuum Pictures, an independent production company based in Los Angeles. During his six years as Continuum Pictures’ postproduction supervisor, he was involved with every aspect of production on a multitude of projects from commercials, promotional videos, music videos, short films, live events, animation and above all, feature films.
Austin’s first major break came in 2009, when he served as Producer, Director of Photography, and Editor on Sabor Tropical, a motion picture shot on location in Panama, which received theatrical distribution, both foreign and domestic, as well as a home video release.

ESS – Music Producer, Composer & Songwriter

All the way from Toronto, Canada, Ess, the half-deaf rapper & Hip Hop’s Beethoven, released his sophomore effort, “The Internship EP” (available on iTunes), quit his job as an Audio Engineer working for Universal Music (one of the biggest record labels in the country), headlined his own concert, then bought a one-way ticket and boarded a plane to LA. All in the same week. Go big or go home! Now, at this stage of the game, Ess has already worked with some of the biggest names in Entertainment including Interscope, Def Jam, Island Records, Universal Music, EMI Music, Infinity, Multi-Platinum Songwriters & Producers, and the list goes on. JASON SHEAR – Editor/Visual Effects/Color Correcting

Originally from Minneapolis, MN, Jason got his BFA in Visual Effects at The Savannah College of Art and Design. As our house VFX Artist and Colorists Jason has an eye for detail and color that is always geared towards the design and seamless integration of live-action and CG, all while obtaining a colour palette that perfectly matches the atmosphere of the piece. Whatever the creative needs of your project, be it Color, Visual Effects or Editing, Jason strives to hear the three most valued words in our industry, “I Love It!”

PHIL THOMPSON – Composer & Music Supervisor

Phil Thompson is an internationally acclaimed pianist as well as a highly sought after soundtrack composer and music supervisor who brings his extensive resume to FilmPool. His most recent album, “Love Themes from the Silver Screen” is a collection of original arrangements of Phil’s favorite soundtrack pieces and is currently charting on iTunes in the “Top 20″ for Love Theme albums. As a composer, Phil has scored dozens of projects including the PBS documentary “Footsteps: A Journey in Faith”, 23 episodes for the NBC television series “Blueprint for Green”, the acclaimed tribute song “Final Ride Home” for the 35W Bridge Collapse, (with over 10,000 downloads and all proceeds going to the Minnesota Red Cross), and most recently the motion picture “Laughing to the Bank” (written and directed by Brian Hooks of Lucky Strike, Fools Gold, etc.) which incorporated Phil’s trademark piano style as well as a number of pop, hip-hop, and parody tracks (Dos Equis, “To Catch a Predator”, etc.). As a music supervisor, Phil is able to utilize his personal network of independent songwriters and emerging artists from around the globe. When not in the studio, Phil can be seen touring the globe at venues including Mandalay Bay and Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, the Royal Imperial Palace in Vienna, and the MGM Grand in Macau just to name a few. JASON ABELL – Post Audio, Sound Engineer, Editor & Composer

Jason is a musician from sunny Tempe, Arizona. He went to Musician’s Institute in 2006 for audio engineering to become a music engineer, quickly developing a passion for manipulating audio knowing early on he wanted to become a mixer. For the first two years of his career he tracked an array of acts from a 9-piece Jazz Band to a 30-piece Orchestra and enjoyed working with clients from different walks of life. Eventually Post Production was introduced into his workflow and he began supervising projects of all different budgets from start to delivery to distribution. One of his favorite, challenging tasks is ADR; bringing actors in, making them comfortable, and getting performances that match production or if the director desires something different to improve the scene. During the mix process with Jason clients love his quick editing, anything is possible attitude, and helpful advice on sound direction.

SEAN EVANS – Post Audio/Sound Editor

Originally from a small town in Wisconsin, Sean got his AAS in Audio Production and Engineering at the Institute of Production and Recording in Minneapolis, MN. As an accomplished Audio Post Production Editor specializing in Dialogue Editing, Sean has an ear for detail and audio that is aimed towards achieving high-quality sound elements and editing techniques to generate the perfect environment, feel, and vision of the piece. Whether you need dialogue editing, sound effects/backgrounds, foley, sound design, or ADR, Sean can deliver exactly what you’re looking for.
